Assam: CIT Kokrajhar Hosts 3rd Convocation Ceremony Celebrating Academic Excellence

KOKRAJHAR: The Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar, hosted its 3rd Convocation Ceremony today at the Bodofa Cultural Complex in Assam's Kokrajhar.

A total of 464 students from Diploma, Undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs were awarded their degrees in a ceremony that highlighted academic excellence and innovation.

The event was attended by Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), who served as the chief guest. CIT Kokrajhar Director Prof. A. Srinivasan and Prof. (Retd.) Nishikant V. Deshpande, Chairman of the Board of Governors (BoG), was also present, along with faculty members, graduates, and their families.

In his address, the BTC Chief Executive Member congratulated the graduates and highlighted the importance of institutions like CIT Kokrajhar in promoting skill development and research that contribute to the progress of the Bodoland Territorial Region and beyond.

The convocation showcased CIT Kokrajhar's continued dedication to providing excellence in education and producing skilled professionals prepared to make meaningful contributions to society and industry.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya attended the 1st convocation of the Majuli Cultural University and called upon the graduates of Majuli Cultural University to take ethical leadership and serve society with honesty and responsibility.

Addressing the students on the occasion of the first convocation of Majuli Cultural University at Majuli, the Governor asked the graduating students to be steadfast in their commitment and ethically serve the society and prioritize principle over profit.

He said that Majuli Cultural University is the only university which besides academic learning, emphasizes the promotion of Indian cultural and knowledge values.

The university also stands for fostering the exchange of ideas and the development of mutual respect and harmony among students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. He said that the atmosphere of this university is unique, which offers a space where academic and cultural exchanges are not just encouraged but also celebrated.
