
GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed an event in Jalukbari and felicitated 1,517 meritorious students of his constituency on Monday. While speaking at the event he said that youth of the state are very potential and the state's future lie in them. He said the government is committed to giving the youth a chance to grow through skills provision in new areas, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, 3D printing, augmented reality, and quantum physics.
The government must be aware of the latest technological developments to keep the youth competitive in the fast-changing job market, according to Sarma. He also spoke about the big semiconductor project to be set up in Jagiroad, which will be an investment of ₹27,000 crores and generate massive employment opportunities for the youth of Assam. Presently, 500 students from the state are undergoing training in the semiconductor sector in Bengaluru.
Besides emphasizing the acquisition of skills, CM Sarma also talked about the progress that the state had made in the areas of infrastructure, education, and investment to prepare the young generation to overcome future challenges. He encouraged students to work harder, aspire to be great, and utilize the knowledge acquired for the betterment of society.
Sarma concluded his speech with greetings for the festivals of Uruka and Bhogali Bihu and wished the people of Assam happiness and prosperity while reaffirming his commitment to recognizing academic excellence.
