
DIBRUGARH: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is scheduled to visit Dibrugarh for a two-day program on March 20 and 21, as part of the state government’s ambitious ‘Advantage Assam’ initiative, aimed at promoting investment and infrastructure development across the region.
During his visit, the Chief Minister will engage in several significant activities, focused on fostering economic growth and enhancing social welfare. Notably, the Assam CM will attend award distribution ceremonies, where he will present the Banikanta Kakoti Award and the Anandaram Baruah Award, honoring exemplary contributions in the fields of culture and education.
In addition, the Chief Minister will also distribute bicycles to beneficiaries under various state welfare schemes, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting underprivileged communities and improving access to education and livelihood.
The visit underscores the government’s continued focus on inclusive development and recognition of Assam’s cultural heritage. It also represents a further step in establishing an atmosphere that is favorable for investment and long-term growth under the broader vision of ‘Advantage Assam.’
Meanwhile, Silchar is set to witness a momentous occasion as CM Sarma is scheduled to visit the town on March 18 for a series of significant events. His visit will mark a day of historical importance, cultural reverence, and infrastructural advancements, reinforcing the government’s commitment to the development of Barak Valley.
