
GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the RuralShores BPO Delivery Centre in Guwahati with Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai. This initiative will create jobs and empower rural youth by offering sustainable employment. With top clients, the centre is set to become a cost-effective, competitive alternative to urban BPOs, driving rural empowerment & economic growth.
Taking to his official social media handle X, CM Sarma stated, "Along with Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, I dedicated the Rural Shores BPO Delivery Centre in Guwahati today. This BPO will handle high-ticket clients of Rural Shores, empowering our youth and preventing their migration outside Assam. We are creating an enabling infrastructure for more such centres to come up not only in Guwahati but across Assam, so that our highly skilled youths find meaningful engagement in the state itself."
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects in Guwahati earlier on January 30. CM Sarma laid the foundation stone for a new flyover at the Cycle Factory junction in Guwahati.
He also inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs 14.67 crore, which include 24 public toilets, 31 community buildings, 17 cremations, and 2 burial grounds.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the Cycle Factory flyover at Lalganesh, Guwahati. Built at a cost of Rs 376 crores, it will ease connectivity at crucial junctions.
