MORIGAON: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the upgradation work of the Assam Electronics and Semiconductor Logistics Park in Jagiroad today. The park, which covers over 600 bighas, will become an important center for electronics and semiconductor industries, playing a key role in Assam’s economic and industrial growth.
During the opening, CM Sarma spoke to the media about the great potential of the park in helping the region grow. He explained that the upgrade would boost industrial activity and create a strong environment supporting many sectors. The park’s expansion will include important facilities like Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) for the education of workers and their families, hospitals for healthcare, and a 5-star hotel for business visitors and employees.
The Chief Minister emphasized that developing the park will attract new industries, create jobs, and strengthen Assam’s role in the electronics and semiconductor industries. The addition of top-quality facilities and infrastructure will help make the park a self-sustained and active industrial center, ready to meet the growing needs of both national and international markets.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with important people to discuss working together in areas like Renewable Energy, Semiconductors, Small & Medium Businesses, and Startups.
