
MUMBAI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had an excellent meeting with Shri Sajjan Jindal, the Chairman of JSW Group, in Mumbai on Friday, February 7. During the meeting, Sarma and Jindal spoke about partnering together, particularly in the infrastructure and energy sectors.
Taking over on his official social media handle, X, CM Sarma stated, "I look forward to his presence at the AdvantageAssam2 summit."
CM Sarma also met Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Group, in New Delhi on Friday to discuss the Tata Group’s upcoming investments in Assam, including the much-anticipated semiconductor plant at Jagiroad. The Chief Minister had recently visited the site to review the ongoing construction of the plant.
During the meeting, CM Sarma extended an invitation to Chandrasekaran to attend the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit, which will be held in Guwahati on February 25-26.
In a post on X, Sarma expressed his excitement about the meeting, stating, “It was truly a pleasure to meet Shri N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Companies, today in New Delhi. Our conversation about the group’s exciting investments in Assam was inspiring, and I’m eagerly looking forward to welcoming him at the AdvantageAssam2 Summit!”
