DIBRUGARH: Assam DGP GP Singh on Wednesday arrived in Dibrugarh and held a meeting with upper Assam SPs over the HSLC question paper leak case. The SPs of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Charaideo, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji and representatives from Army & CRPF were present during the meeting.

Meanwhile, all the nine students apprehended by Dibrugarh Police in connection with the HSLC question paper leakage were forwarded to CID on Tuesday night. The police have also summoned Salt Brook Academy principal Ranjit Boruah and director Aswini Dowerah for questioning. Speaking to the media, the school authority said that it will fully cooperate with the investigation.

“Earlier also question papers of HSCL were leaked. A CID investigation had been initiated but no such result came out from the investigation. Every year during such examinations, question papers get leaked and the State Government conducts an investigation but nothing comes out. The main question is who was involved in the question paper leak? The students who were apprehended for the question paper leakage are not the main culprits. Many others are involved in this big racket and they will be exposed if proper investigation is done,” said a source. The DGP also attended a programme of 171 Bn of CRPF at Police Reserve campus, Dibrugarh.
