Dhekiajuli: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking the Dhekiajuli Police conducted a raid that led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of 5.77 kg of suspected ganja.

The operation carried out late last night resulted in the apprehension of Paul Basumatary and Gidon Swargiary from Kaarmanguri Village under Mazbat Police Station of Udalguri District.

According to police sources, the accused were found in possession of the contraband during the raid. The recovered narcotics have been sent for further verification and a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act.
