DIBRUGARH: A felicitation ceremony of the three-year LLB Dibrugarh University toppers’ 2024 was held on Saturday at DHSK Law College in Dibrugarh. The felicitation ceremony was organized by the IQAC DHSK Law College, Dibrugarh.
The toppers of the LLB Dibrugarh University 2024 are: Hukheli Achumi, 1st Class 1st position, DHSK Law College; Shibanee Sharma, 1st Class 2nd position, Jorhat Law College; Ishika Bansal, 1st Class 3rd position, Tinsukia Law College; Afreen Akhtar, 1st Class 4th position, DHSK Law College; Smriti Bhamra, 1st Class 5th position, Jorhat Law College; Neha Khan, 1st Class 6th position, D.H.S.K. Law College; Asfia Rahman, 1st Class 7th position, Jorhat Law College; Mintu Gogoi, 1st Class 8th position, Jorhat Law College; Radhika Agarwal, 1st Class 9th position, Tinsukia Law College; Kabita Das, 1st Class 10th position, Jorhat Law College.
The principal of the DHSK Law College welcomed all the dignitaries and wished all the toppers of the LLB a bright future.
Pranjal Changmai, Managing Director of BCPL thanked the Principal of DHSK Law College for inviting him to this felicitation ceremony.
“I congratulate the 10 meritorious students for their achievements. I believe in the value of interaction between professionals and students. Remember you are in a noble profession which contributes to society. Education and the degrees obtained are vital but the journey doesn’t end here. Dedication and hard work are essential components for executing the knowledge you’ve gained. Recently, I was reminded of the importance of understanding laws and finance in our professional lives while interacting with an esteemed law professor. It highlights the need for continual learning and understanding of legal framework in industry. Commitment to ongoing education in these areas is crucial for future success,” said Pranjal Changmai.
Dibrugarh Bar Association, president Hem Chandra Borah, during his speech congratulated all the toppers and emphasized on encouraging the students not just to top the marks but also to aspire to future successes.
He said that graduates with an LLB degree have numerous job prospects. The importance of law practice as a service to the public was highlighted in his speech.
“A successful advocate is defined not just by knowledge of law but by their role as a conscious citizen. I encourage all the graduates to join the Dibrugarh Bar Association those who are interested in a legal career,” he said.
Hukheli Achumi, 1st class 1st position holder was presented a cash prize of Rs 10,000 by CA J.P Kanoi and Prof J.P. Verma as a part of the MoU agreement to present a cash prize of Rs 10,000 to each toppers of Kanoi Colleges. The guest of honours present in the ceremony was Prof J.P. Verma, Vice-Chancellor of Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University, Chabua; Abhijit Saikia, Secretary of Dibrugarh Legal Service Authority; Pranjal Changmai, Managing Director of BCPL.
