DHUBRI: Dhubri District Commissioner Dibakar Nath in a press meet highlighted the progress achievements made by various departments in the district in his official conference hall on Tuesday.

The DC informed the media that a total of 85,365 beneficiaries are there in PM Kisan while a total of 1011 beneficiaries were recommended by the District Empowered Committee for CMAAA in Dhubri for carrying out self employing activities.

Under PMAY-G, from FY 2016-17 to FY 2023-24 total of 1,10,681 houses were sanctioned and constructed. 1,08,746 were completed with 98.30% strike rate, he further added.

Under PMAY-Urban till now 21661 beneficiaries have received benefits, Out of 21661 houses 79% has already been completed.

In ration card, 73,028 new beneficiaries have received the benefits of ration card in the recent drive. 10, 821 new ration cards were given in addition to 12,23,032 beneficiaries already receiving the benefits of ration card prior to the drive.

He also informed that 9,70,523 beneficiaries enrolled under PMJAY in Dhubri, would get benefits of health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family. A total of 236846 FHTC connections have been given under JJM, out of the total target of 2,55,523 for the entire district.   To enhance Swatch Bharat Mission, 257 Community Managed Sanitary Complex has been constructed in various GP’s of the district. 84 Amrit Sarovars were sanctioned in the district, of which 83 were completed. 66 Amrit Sarovars were already handed over to CLF’s.

Under Assam Micro Finance Incentives and Relief Schemes, 4108 beneficiaries have been benefitted, he said.

895 scooties were distributed under Banikanta Kakati Award in FY 2023-2024 while 1197 in 2024-2025.

In 2023-2024, 23,519  bi-cycles and in  2024-2025, 20,924 cycles were distributed among the students. Under the Nijut Moina Scheme, 5165 students got the benefits during 2024-25.
