
DHUBRI: The district administration of Dhubri held a grand award distribution programme at Raja Prabhat Chandra Barua Field on December 18 wherein 1,197 students were identified. Scooties and bicycles, apart from the Anundoram Borooah Award were also distributed to the students for their meritorious results.
The event was presided over by Atul Bora, Assam's Minister of Agriculture, Horticulture, Excise and Border Protection, who had attended as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries of the day included Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Dibakar Nath, Chairman of Dhubri Municipal Board Dr Debamoy Sanyal, former MLA Ashwini Roy, BJP District President Prasenjit Dutta, Bimal Chand Oswal from Assam State Commission for Right to Public Services, and Kamatapur Autonomous Council Chief Executive Council Jibesh Roy.
224 boys and 973 girls were rewarded in the event, which reflects the commendable participation of girls in the academic arena of the district. The Scooties and bicycles are distributed to ensure greater accessibility and mobility for the students to continue their pursuit of education.
Top students in the district were rewarded with the Anundoram Borooah Award, a symbol of success in Assamese academic pursuits and a motivation for further excellence. At the function, Minister Atul Bora spoke and congratulated the students on their efforts and reiterated the government's commitment to the empowerment of youths and strengthening the educational systems in the state.
At the end of the ceremony, sincere gratitude was conveyed to the dignitaries, attendees, and stakeholders for honoring the teamwork that made it a complete success.
