DHUBRI: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, is set to launch the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiya, a nationwide agricultural awareness and outreach campaign, from May 29 to June 12, across all states and union territories of India.
In this awareness programme, Dhubri district is also gearing up for an impactful launch of the campaign, spearheaded by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bahalpur, Dhubri. The campaign aims to empower farmers with timely information and practical tools in preparation for the Kharif cropping season. With a special focus on reaching farmers in rural, border, and underserved areas, the initiative is designed to deliver government schemes, sustainable farming practices, and soil health awareness right to the farmers’ doorsteps.
In Dhubri, the campaign will be jointly organized by KVK Bahalpur in partnership with the District Agriculture Office, District Fisheries Development Office, District Veterinary Office, Sarat Chandra Sinha College of Agriculture (Rangamati, Bahalpur), Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM), Gram Panchayat officials, and members of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs/FPCs).
