Assam: Dhupdhara Axam Xahitya Xabha Biennial Conference Held in Goalpara

Dhupdhara: The biennial conference of the Rupjyoti Sakha Xahitya Xabha of the Goalpara district literary conference was held on Sunday. The conference was held at the Xahitya Xabha premises, where the president of the Rupjyoti Sakha Xahitya Xabha, Dr. Bibhuti Kalita, hoisted the flag of the Axam Xahitya Xabha.

The conference began with the hoisting of the Axam Xahitya Xabha flag. The flag was hoisted by Dr. Bibhuti Kalita, president of the Rupjyoti Sakha Xahitya Xabha, followed by the inauguration of boundary wall construction by Krishna Mohan Das, advisor of the branch. Later a general meeting was held and presided over by Dr. Bibhuti Kalita. In the meeting, Dr. Faruk Akhtar, observer, district xahitya xabha, and advisors Jog Narayan Pathak, Krishna Mohan Das, and Subodh Kalita were felicitated. The secretary of the branch, Mukut Chandra Patgiri, presented the annual report, read out the accounts, and presented the editorial report. Various activities of the branch, including organizational matters, were discussed in the meeting. A new committee was formed at the meeting, with Dr. Bibhuti Kalita as president, Naba Kumar Mishra as vice president, Mukut Chandra Patgiri as secretary, and Dipankar Baishya and Bulbul Hazarika as assistant secretaries. Nafirun Nessa, Baliram Boro, Hamidul Gani, Bikash Roy, Champa Medhi, Khurshida Begum, Bulurani Das, and Gautam Kalita were elected as executive members.
