Assam: District Development Committee meet held in Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon: Meeting of District Development Committee, Bongaigaon for both the months of November and December was held on Friday in the conference hall of Office of the District Commissioner which was chaired by Nabadeep Pathak, the District Commissioner. 

The District Commissioner reviewed the flagship schemes of Central Government and Assam State Government like PMAY(G), JJM, PMMSY, PM KISHAN, PMFME, CMAAA, Svanirbhar Nari, PMLSAY, PM-Vishwakarma, PM Svanidhi etc in today’s meeting. 

District Commissioner Pathak asked the line departments to perform their duties with utmost sincerity so that the district can take a better position in State level. Every department was asked to uplift the parameters of their own department and also to come with points to discuss in this meeting which needs inter-departmental assistance. The District Commissioner said that the Government departments are for public services and quality services should be dedicated. 

The District Commissioner informed in the meeting that Phani Bhuashan Choudhury, MP of Barpeta HPC has adopted Chaprakata pt.ii village as MP Model Village and to develop it as model village, every department has to implement all the schemes in that village. It should have good communication, pure drinking water, sanitary latrine of every household, better educational institutions, Model Anganwadi Centre etc. 

On the other hand the District Commissioner asked the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad to make one crematory available in every GP of the district. Also he asked the Assistant Registrar of Co-Operatives to consist one Co-Operative Society in every GP as it is an instruction of the government.
