NAGAON: In preparation for the smooth conduct of the Panchayat Election 2025, a district-level meeting was held on Thursday at the Nagaon District Library Auditorium. The meeting, chaired by District Commissioner Narendra Kumar Shah, aimed to review the preparedness of polling stations and ensure the availability of basic amenities.

During the meeting, the District Commissioner emphasized the importance of adhering to the election guidelines issued by the Assam State Election Commission. He urged the officials to work in coordination with the police to ensure a free, fair, and transparent election process.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Superintendent of Police Swapnanil Deka, Additional District Commissioners Debahuti Bora, Pankaj Nagvanshi, and Sudip Nath, Deputy Commissioners from co-districts, including Raj Barua (Kaliabor) and Phyllis VLS Hrangchal (Raha), Additional Superintendent of Police Yangchen Duma Bhutia, and Election Officer Shekharan Phukan.

 The meeting aimed to ensure a well-planned and peaceful conduct of the Panchayat Election 2025 in Nagaon district, an official press note added here.
