Assam: Dr. Azibur Rahman, Head of Education Department at Doomdooma College, Passes Away

DOOMDOOMA: Dr Azibur Rahman (57 years), Head of Education Department and Associate Professor of Doomdooma College, passed away at his residence in Barpeta on Thursday morning. He was undergoing treatment for a terminal disease for quite some time. He joined the Doomdooma College in 2005 as an Assistant Professor and held various responsibilities in the academic field of the college.

His important research done on physically challenged students was published in the book form and in many research journals at home and abroad. He was also associated with the Ellora Bigyan Mancha, Doomdooma Branch as Secretary.

He is survived by his wife and a daughter. He was also a Co-ordinator of Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University, Doomdooma College Education Centre. A number of seminars on higher education and population were held in the college under his supervision and coordinatorship.
