GORESWAR: A Drone Technology Training Programme was conducted at Tamulpur Higher Secondary School on Friday by Yuvaan Educative LLP, in collaboration with the North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR).

The initiative aimed to empower students of classes 9 to 12, pursuing vocational education in elective subjects such as “Agriculture” and “Private Security,” under the centrally sponsored scheme aligned with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), implemented by Samagra Shiksha, Government of Assam.

The training programme was inaugurated by Jahirul Islam, Inspector of Schools, Baksa district. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of integrating advanced technologies into vocational education to align with modern industry demands and improve students’ livelihood opportunities.

The technical session was led by Satyam Tripathy, Senior Geomatics Officer of NECTAR, who provided comprehensive insights into drone technology and its applications in agriculture—such as crop monitoring and spraying—as well as in security for surveillance and reconnaissance.

The training combined theoretical sessions with live demonstrations, giving students hands-on experience with this cutting-edge technology. Students appreciated the practical approach, recognizing the importance of blending classroom learning with real-world applications.

This programme is part of Yuvaan Educative LLP’s broader mission to equip students in Assam’s government schools with industry-relevant skills and exposure to emerging technologies.

The initiative highlights the growing importance of drone technology in boosting agricultural productivity and enhancing modern security systems, thereby preparing students for future careers in these evolving sectors.
