Assam: Duo Rapes Woman Inside Moving Car

GUWAHATI: A monstrous episode has come to light from Assam's Nagaon district on 4th of February, Saturday. A lady was physically molested and raped by a gang of individuals in a moving vehicle. 

The incident took place in Bhomoraguri village, located near Batadrava Tehsil. The accused has been identified as Rokibul alias Gulzar Hussain along with Tafazul Hussain. 

The incident came forth after the victim's family registered an FIR regarding the matter in the local police department. As per the information, the accused duo also terrorised the woman about harmful consequences if she opens her mouth in front of anyone. 

It is worth mentioning here that, one of the criminal named Gulzar Hussain, is also the current President of Bhomoraguri village panchayat. Along with registration of the case, the police department has initiated an search operation to nab both the culprits who attempted such a wicked offence. 

Few days prior to this incident, a 13 year old girl was raped by two men in Assam's Majuli district. The episode was recorded at Jorbeel, located in Majuli. As per the reports, the little girl was spotted with many bruises on her body. 

The survivor's family members launched an FIR against the culprits, as a result of which the evil duo was apprehended from the region. The minor girl was admitted in the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for medical attention. 

Furthermore, on 25th of January, a heinous and tragic event was registered from Assam's Barpeta district, where a 13 year old girl lost her life after giving birth to a baby in a hospital. The minor girl got pregnant after getting raped by a 40 year old man in Goalpara district. The newborn also died after a day, informed the police. However, the culprit is still on the run and living free.
