Assam: Educationist Triken Das passes away in Nalbari

NALBARI: Former Head of Zoology Department, Nalbari College, a versatile teacher, a player and popular social organizer, Triken Das breathed his last on Tuesday at the age of 78. His death has cast a pall of gloom among the people of Nalbari.

He was a prominent educationist and professor, prominent politician, veteran Congressman, prominent sports organizer and a skilled football referee.

He was the former president of Nalbari District Congress and a former general secretary of Nalbari Sports Association. People from all walks of life visited his residence to pay their last respect to the departed soul. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son and a host of admirers.
