Assam Election 2026: Home Voting Begins in Dima Hasao for Senior Citizens and PwD Voters in Haflong Constituency

The Election Commission of India's home voting initiative has been rolled out across Dima Hasao district for the 113 (ST) Haflong constituency, with polling teams beginning house visits from March 30 ahead of the Assam Assembly Election 2026.

The facility is available to two categories of voters — senior citizens aged 85 and above, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) — allowing them to exercise their democratic right without the need to travel to a polling station.

Polling teams are visiting eligible voters at their homes, ensuring they can cast their votes conveniently and with dignity.
