Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog visits Sootea

JAMUGURIHAT: State Finance and Social Welfare Minister Ajanta Neog visited and held a meeting in the conference hall of No. 3 Sootea GP at Sootea centre on her way to Biswanath on Wednesday.

The minister held a meeting with senior citizens of Sootea, Panchayat representatives and beneficiaries of various government schemes along with government officials of the Social Welfare department. After interaction with the beneficiaries and general public, the minister addressed a media gathering here at Sootea.

Neog said, "The social welfare department will be redesigned and made people friendly." She further added that the food items to be distributed among children would be packed items. Children would get more nutritious food in the days to come, she said.
