Assam: Forest department staff found dead in Bokakhat

BOKAKHAT: The body of a young female staff member of the forest department was recovered on Friday morning under mysterious circumstances from the quarters within the premises of the Kaziranga National Park Divisional Forest Office, Eastern Forest Division, Bokakhat. The body was found hanging from the back veranda of the quarters. The deceased has been identified as Dashami Duara (23 years) of Athkhelia, Ghiladhari in Golaghat district. While the department has termed it an apparent case of suicide, the victim’s family alleged that it was a case of murder. Bokakhat police have recovered the body, conducted a post-mortem examination, and launched an investigation.
