ASSAM: Goalpara Police Bust Alleged Sex Racket in Town Lodge

Goalpara: Police in Assam’s Goalpara district raided a lodge in the heart of the town, busting an alleged sex racket and detaining five men and two women.

The operation took place at Pancharatna Lodge, which had been under suspicion for some time following multiple complaints from local residents. According to police, the lodge had been the subject of repeated reports about illegal activities.

“Locals were aware of what was going on here and kept informing us. Based on their inputs, we conducted the raid and caught the accused red-handed,” a police official said.

Residents have urged authorities to identify and arrest the mastermind behind the racket, saying that only then can such illegal activities be brought to a complete stop.

Police have begun further investigation to trace those responsible for running the operation.
