DHUBRI: A meeting-cum-workshop was convened at the conference hall of Dhubri Circuit House on Monday regarding Good Governance practises and initiatives, 2024 on various schemes of different departments. The meeting was presided over by Dhubri District Commissioner Dibakar Nath.
The workshop was attended by CEO, Zilla Parishad, ADC Banti Talukdar, ADC Santa Karki Chetri and all the HODs of all the concerned departments. The workshop emphasized on the theme of this year “ Prasashan Gaon ki Ore” “Administration towards villages.”
The various projects and the different initiatives/ practices of the departments were showcased through PPT along with the vision documents for the year 2025.
The Agricultural department reported that various e-Services has been started for the beneficiaries like Krishi Mapper, e- Procurement portal, Beneficiary Mapping portal, citizens Agri Portal, Online Grievance Redressal Portal etc. They have been providing training and awareness programme to improve irrigation, water management, enhance soil health, sustainability etc. to the beneficiaries. The DC said that reclamation of land can be done blockwise in Dhubri district and the schemes are to be quantified accordingly and should take necessary steps to implement in Dhubri district.
The Agricultural officer mentioned about the vermi compost scheme which can be used as a natural process where earthworms convert organic waste into nutrient rich soil amendment.
The department reported that distribution of worms, filling of worms was completed on November 19 and vermi will be ready by February 30, 2025.
The Joint Director of Health Services reported that disability, birth and death certificates were provided online and vision is that all district hospitals will be upgraded to Super speciality Hospitals very soon.
DC asked the department to accelerate the work process and at the same time the DC asked them to submit the reports of telemedicine and infants death rate. Similarly the PHE department displayed their JJM success stories, Nutrient Garden and PWSS Schemes. The DC also asked all the departments to initiate small level of interventions and that they should maintain an institutional legacy which can further be continued.
The other concerned departments like DICC, Textile etc also showcased their initiative and vision documents for the year, 2025. The DC further concluded the workshop saying that capacity building should start from the grassroots. The meeting further continued with the DDC meeting where DC reviewed the implementation and progress of various schemes.
