GOLAGHAT: Students in a government school in Golaghat are studying with their lives at risk due to the school building's precarious condition. The Darangi Primary School in Golaghat, Assam, is in a dilapidated condition, posing a significant risk to the safety of its students and teachers. Established in 1934, the school building has developed severe cracks in its walls, and there is a fear that it might collapse at any moment due to strong winds or earthquakes.

The school has over 100 students, who are forced to study in fear of the building's potential collapse. Parents have to stand guard outside the school, anxiously waiting for any signs of danger. The teachers and local community have repeatedly appealed to the government for assistance, but so far, no action has been taken. The parents and the school management committee are now urging the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and the Education Minister to expedite the construction of a new school building to ensure the safety of the students.
