Assam: Heroin weighing 105 grams recovered, 1 arrested in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: Acting on secret information, an anti-drugs operation was carried out in No. 3 Naba Betoni Bridge under Naojan Out Post of Sarupathar PS on Monday.

The operation was led by Addl SP (Crime), Golaghat along with OC, Chungajan PS, IC Naojan Out Post, PS staff, and the cyber cell team. Police sources said that during the operation, one drug peddler was arrested. The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Raja Ali (26 years), son of Taj Ali, resident of Sarupathar Town, near Railway Station, PS-Sarupathar.  10 soap boxes of heroin weighing 105.73 grams have been seized from his possession. Police had to resort to blank fire to stop the accused, as he tried to escape from the site.
