NAGAON: Mehraj Barbhuyan, a student of standard IX of Ajmal Modern Residential School (AMRS), Hojai, has achieved the 1st Zonal Rank along with Scholarship, Zonal Gold Medal, and Certificate of Zonal Excellence in the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) 2024 - 25 conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), New Delhi.
As per results declared recently, a total of 21 students of AMRS, Hojai cracked Level - 2 of SOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), National Science Olympiad (NSO), and International English Olympiad (IEO). All the successful students were awarded with the Certificate of Zonal Excellence and 11 students were conferred with Scholarships from the SOF, New Delhi. Khusbu Akhter Masud (class IX) and Sahavan Langthasa (class IX) secured Zonal Rank – 2 with Scholarship, Zonal Silver Medal, and Certificate of Zonal Excellence in the National Science Olympiad (NSO) 2024-25 and International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) 2024-25 respectively.
The achievements of the students of AMRS in SOF 2nd Level IEO, NSO & IMO have made all the students and teachers of the institution proud. The concerned authority of the educational institution congratulated all the successful students, their parents, the Olympiad coordinator, and the dedicated teaching staff for their invaluable contributions in bringing infinite laurels & accolades to the institution.
Areef Ahmed, Principal, Ajmal Modern Residential School (AMRS), Hojai, further mentioned that SOF, a leading organization with the aim of promoting Science, Mathematics, Computer Education, English, Social Studies, General Knowledge, and professional courses, has been striving for over 26 years to promote scientific attitude and temperament through innovative activities and use of IT in learning processes that involve school students across the globe.
