BOKAKHAT: A devastating fire broke out on Tuesday night in Badulipar, under the Khumtai Revenue Circle of Golaghat District. The incident took place at the residence of Subaj Bhuyan in the Tekela Line of Badulipar Tea Estate. According to the family, the fire started late at night while everyone was asleep. Feeling the heat of the flames, they woke up and rushed out of the house, screaming for help. Hearing their cries, local residents arrived and made desperate attempts to extinguish the fire. However, they were unable to save any belongings. The Devgaon Fire Brigade was informed about the incident, and as per reports, they arrived at the scene. With the help of locals, the fire brigade managed to bring the flames under control and prevent them from spreading to nearby houses. The fire completely destroyed all household items and important documents. Additionally, an amount of Rs 45,000, which the family had saved for a wedding after selling a cow, was also lost in the blaze.
