Assam HS 1st Year Examination Suspended Until Further Orders

In the case of Dima Hasao District, all examinations to be held from May 18th to June 1st 2022 are also suspended until further orders due to disruption of surface communication.

GUWAHATI: The Higher Secondary First Year Examination scheduled to be held from May 18 has been postponed until further notice.

An order issued by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) dated May 17, states, "The HS First Year Examinations to be held w.e.f. 18th May 2022 to 21st  May 2022, being conducted by AHSEC are suspended until further order due to prevailing inclement weather and in view of damages being caused by the natural calamities in the state."

"Further, in the case of Dima Hasao District, all the examinations to be held w.e.f. 18th' May 2022 to 1st June 2022 is suspended until further order due to disruption of surface communication," the notification added.

The order was issued by the Controller of Examination (AHSEC), Pankaj Borthakur.

As per reports, this time the AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council) will hold the HS (Higher Secondary) examinations with new question papers and new answer sheets.

Earlier, AHSEC could not hold the HS examinations in 2021 due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The AHSEC, however, decided to conduct the HS examination this year with new question papers and new answer sheets.
