Assam HSLC 2025 Results Declared: Amishii Saikia Tops with 591 Marks

GUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), announced the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2025 results officially today, ending expectations of thousands of students from all over the state.

This year's results have marked outstanding performances, particularly by students of Pragya Academy, Jorhat, and Assam Jatiya Vidyalaya, Guwahati.

The rank holder's top position is held by Amishii Saikia of Pragya Academy, Jorhat, who stood first with an outstanding total of 591 marks. Saptarshi Bordoloi of Assam Jatiya Vidyalaya, Guwahati, stood second with 590 marks, and the third rank was taken by Anirban Borgohain of Pragya Academy with 589 marks.

With regard to the overall performance, male applicants excelled over female students, registering a pass percentage of 67.59% against 61.09% for girls. Among districts, Sivasagar topped the pass percentage with 85.55%, followed by Dibrugarh (81.10%) and Dhemaji (80.64%).

Of the 4,29,449 candidates who had applied for the exam, 4,22,737 students took it. Out of these, 2,70,471 cleared the exam, with 89,041 scoring first division, 1,35,568 getting second division, and 45,862 getting third division. Additionally, 5,336 students received distinction marks, 16,517 got star marks, and 1,68,312 got letter marks in different subjects.

The HSLC examinations were conducted between February 15 and March 3, 2025, and the results were announced a mere 37 days later. Remarkably, 6,712 candidates failed to appear, 22 results were withheld, and 101 students were expelled for indiscipline during examination hours.

For students who are unhappy with their results, SEBA has offered a choice for re-evaluation and rechecking through its official portal. Besides, the board is going to declare the HSLC Compartment Exams 2025 dates soon for those who have failed in one or two subjects.
