Assam: Khel Maharan 2.0 Kicks Off with Enthusiasm in Sribhumi

SRIBHUMI: The much-anticipated District-Level Khel Maharan 2.0 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at DSA Ground, Sribhumi, Assam by Deputy Commissioner of Sribhumi, Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi. The grand opening ceremony witnessed the presence of several esteemed dignitaries, sports enthusiasts, and local officials, marking the beginning of an exciting sporting event aimed at fostering talent and sportsmanship.

DC Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi highlighted the importance of sports in helping young people grow and bringing the community together. He praised the initiative for giving young athletes a chance to show their talent and support the district’s sports culture.

The event began with an official opening ceremony, followed by various performances and activities celebrating sports. Athletes from different sports will compete in various categories, adding excitement to the tournament.

Khel Maharan 2.0 is a major sports event organized by the Assam government to promote local sports. Led by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, it gives people of all ages and backgrounds a chance to showcase their athletic skills.

Meanwhile, the District Level Mega Sporting Event, Khel Maharan 2.0, started on the previous day at the Selengi playfield in Assam's Golaghat. The event was officially inaugurated by District Commissioner Pulak Mahanta, ACS, who also hoisted the flag. 

Many important people from the district, including social workers, athletes, and government officers, attended the ceremony. Thousands of people gathered to watch and participate in the event, which aimed to promote sports and encourage community involvement.
