BOKAKHAT: It has been reported that a leopard calf was killed after being struck by a speeding vehicle in the animal corridor of Kaziranga National Park. According to park sources, forest staff discovered the carcass last night in the Kanchanjuri animal corridor, which lies under the Bagori range of the park, along National Highway 37.
The calf, estimated to be about four years old, is suspected to have been fatally injured by an unidentified vehicle. After a post-mortem examination, the carcass was cremated on Wednesday in accordance with the National Tiger Conservation Authority’s guidelines.
