Assam: Local holiday declared in Tezpur on March 15

TEZPUR: District Commissioner of Sonitpur Ankur Bharali via an order has officially declared March 15, 2025 (Saturday) as a Local Holiday in the district in observance of the ‘Dol Jatra’ festival. The announcement was made under the provisions of the NI Act, 1881.

On this day, All State Government offices and all educational Institutions including all financial institutions/co-operative banks, etc. in Sonitpur district will remain closed. However, it is important to note that the holiday will not be applicable in cases where examinations of schools and colleges are already scheduled.
