Assam: Man drowns in Pond near home in Bokakhat

BOKAKHAT: Lakhiram Bhurali (41 years), son of Sarupona Bhurali and a resident of Mahuramukh Bhuralipar village under the Mohura mouza of Bokakhat sub-division, tragically drowned on Sunday in the pond by his house. The reason for his visit to the pond bank is unknown. When he could not be found at home despite a search, his family discovered him lying in the pond.

Seeing him in such a condition, panic spread among the locals. People quickly gathered, pulled Lakhiram out of thea water, and rushed him to Bokakhat’s Shaheed Kamala Miri Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. He is survived by his father, mother, wife, one son, and one daughter.
