Assam: Minor dies due to heatwave in Jamugurihat Paddy Field

JAMUGURIHAT: One Samudra Das (16 years), son of Umesh Das and Alpana Das of Goalgaon here, died due to the scorning heat on Thursday afternoon. According to information, Samudra had gone to the paddy field like other days in the morning. When he did not return home for a long time, the family members rang him up but he didn’t pick up the call. The family members then went to the paddy field in his search, where they found him lying on the ground. After the family members called, the neighbours reached the site and took Samudra to the hospital immediately but he was declared dead. The untimely demise of the youth cast a pall of gloom in the area.
