
GUWAHATI: A 13-year-old girl from the Jalukbari area in Guwahati, Assam, has reportedly been abducted and raped by four individuals. The incident has raised significant concerns regarding safety and security in the area.
Reports indicate that on January 1, the girl was taken by four individuals from Kailashpur, Jalukbari, to a nearby hotel, where she was allegedly gang-raped.
The accused, who are reportedly residents of Sundarbari, later left the girl abandoned near her home. The girl's family lodged a police complaint after she was found, prompting the Jalukbari police to initiate an investigation.
Two of the accused, identified as minors, have been apprehended by the police, while the other two are still at large. The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and are conducting further investigations.
Meanwhile, a minor girl (11 years) of No. 1 Balijuri, Mangalbariya, on the northern part of Jamugurihat, was raped by one Sanjib Munda (21 years), a resident of No. 1 Balijuri.
According to information, the minor girl who went to a nearby shop was persuaded by Sanjib and taken away. He raped the minor girl for the whole night. On the other hand, the family members tried to locate the minor girl who didn’t return home. But they didn’t get any information about the girl.
