NAGAON: A shocking and mysterious death of a young man, identified as Pranab Jyoti Bora of Muhani in Puranigudam, has sent shockwaves throughout the area in Nagaon district today.
Bora’s lifeless body was found in a suspicious condition on the front lawn of a neighbour’s house in the early hours of this morning. He had gone to attend a wedding ceremony at Baropujia in Morigaon district last evening. According to local sources, Bora was expected to return home after attending the wedding.
However, his body was found on the front lawn of a neighbour’s house, sparking widespread outrage and suspicion. The local Puranigudam as well as Samaguri Police rushed to the spot and sent the mortal remains to Nagaon Civil Hospital for post-mortem. Local residents as well as other family members of the deceased youth have raised suspicions about the circumstances surrounding his death.
The victim was a well-known and respected member of the community, actively involved in various social and cultural organizations. He was also a member of the Indian National Congress and held the position of Vice-President of the Youth Congress Committee of Samaguri constituency.
The police have assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted to uncover the truth behind Bora’s mysterious death. The incident has left the entire community in shock, and demands for justice are being made.
Meanwhile Superintendent of Police, Nagaon Swapnanil Deka, while addressing a press conference at Samaguri this afternoon here, said that as per the statement of the physician who conducted the autopsy of the youth, he might have died of cardiac arrest. But the exact reason of his death would be cleared by the PM report only, Deka said, further adding that the police had already launched an investigation into the entire episode and would leave no stone unturned to unearth the real scene behind his suspicious death.
