Assam: Nagaon girl achieves national scholarship for painting

NAGAON: Aradhya Borah, a student of Jyoti Art School, Nagaon has been awarded the national level Government scholarship for painting for the years 2024–2025 by the Centre for Cultural Research and Training under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She is receiving training of Assamese manuscript painting under the guidance of internationally recognised artist Sujit Das.

Aradhya is the daughter of Riten Kumar Borah and Pranati Borah of Milanpur Nagaon, Assam. She is a nine-grade student at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nagaon.

She is the only student this year that a national scholarship has been awarded for manuscript painting from Assam.

Last year, the two students, Jannat Tamlina Hasan and Fariha Islam, both from Jyoti Art School in Nagaon have been awarded National Scholarship.
