DIPHU: The 51st Karbi Youth Festival (KYF) at Taralangso in Assam's Diphu is set to feature the National Rock Contest as one of its main attractions. Organized by ‘No-Tok-Let,’ a prominent event-hosting group, the contest aims to provide an electrifying experience for music lovers. The last date for registration is February 5, and the grand finale is scheduled for February 18, with a prize of Rs. 4 lakh for the winning band.

Speaking about the event, organizer Risim Rongpi said, “No-Tok-Let was founded in 2010 by musician Late Daniel Ingty and myself as an addition to the Karbi Youth Festival. We have successfully hosted two editions, creating a platform for local talents to shine and represent Karbi Anglong, but financial constraints forced us to pause the event.”

Rongpi also announced the revival of ‘No-Tok-Let’ this year, coinciding with the National Rock Contest during the 51st Karbi Youth Festival. “We believe this revival will not only honour the festival’s legacy but also inspire and empower our youth, providing them with an opportunity to connect through music and culture. The revival of ‘No-Tok-Let’ promises to be a momentous highlight to the 51st Karbi Youth Festival, and music enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the event,” he added.
