AGARTALA: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu highlighted the need for everyone to work together to solve important issues like consumer protection, road safety, and drug abuse at a program in Agartala on Monday.

The event, which saw the participation of dignitaries, officials, and citizens, aimed to promote a safer and more ethical society through discussions and collaborative efforts.

In his address, Governor Reddy stressed the need for citizens to uphold consumer rights, support ethical businesses, and be vigilant against unfair practices. He also highlighted the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and urged proactive measures to protect local producers, artisans, and farmers, recognizing their crucial role in Tripura’s economy.

The Governor asked people to follow road safety rules, like wearing helmets and following speed limits, and said accidents can be prevented. He also urged a change in how people think about safety and respect on the roads.

Governor Reddy also talked about how drug abuse is becoming a bigger problem and hurting families and communities. He promised that the government will work harder to stop drug abuse with better laws, help programs, and spreading awareness.

Reddy urged parents, teachers, and community leaders to educate and support at-risk individuals, stressing the need for a united front in the fight against substance abuse.

The Governor finished by asking everyone to work together to fix problems like consumer protection, road safety, and drug abuse to make Tripura better and more honest. He thanked the police, NGOs, teachers, and citizens for their work and encouraged more people to help solve these problems.

The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chaudhary, Power and Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath, and Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder. The program ended with everyone promising to work together for a safer and more responsible society.
