Assam: PMAY-G sanction letters distributed in Dhekiajuli

DHEKIAJULI: In a significant push towards the vision of ‘Housing for All,’ a special event was organized at Bhotpara Stadium, Dhekiajuli, where 3,443 beneficiaries from Dhekiajuli LAC, under Sonitpur district received their PMAY-G sanction letters today. This initiative, spearheaded by Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, aims to provide secure and dignified housing to the underprivileged.

The event was graced by District Commissioner Ankur Bharali, Co-District Commissioner Dyotiva Bora, Dhekiajuli Municipality Board Chairperson Sushmita Das, and other esteemed dignitaries. Addressing the gathering, DC Ankur Bharali emphasized the state government’s commitment to rural infrastructure development, stating, “Providing homes to the underprivileged is not just a welfare initiative but a step towards dignity and self-reliance.”

The Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) initiative has been a game-changer in the Dhekiajuli Co-District area, ensuring that thousands of rural families receive financial assistance to build their own homes. The large-scale rollout of this scheme is expected to strengthen rural development, uplift socio-economic conditions, and provide secure housing to hundreds of families across the Dhekiajuli Co-District.

With this initiative, the Assam Government continues to make remarkable strides in its commitment to inclusive growth and social welfare, ensuring that no deserving family is left behind in the pursuit of dignified living.
