Assam: Police Destroy Illegal Cannabis Plants in Panikhaiti, Boko

Illegal cannabis plants were destroyed by police at Panikhaiti area under Sontoli police outpost in Boko on Tuesday.

Boko: Illegal cannabis plants were destroyed by police at Panikhaiti area under Sontoli police outpost in Boko on Tuesday. According to the Sontoli Outpost In-Charge Apurba Kalita, they got a source information about a cannabis plants garden in Panikhaiti area (some 8 kilometers from Sontoli Out-Post)  near the Brahmaputra river in Boko. Therefore, a police team led by in-Charge Apurba Kalita launched an operation and found more than 100 mature cannabis plants. Police immediately cut all the cannabis plants and set fire to it. Kalita said that no one has yet been arrested regarding this matter, however the investigation is going on.
