Assam Police seized Illegal liquor at Rangia-Tamulpur-Bhutan road

TAMULPUR: Twelve cartons of illegal liquor were seized at Tamulpur by Tamulpur police on Rangia-Tamulpur-Bhutan road on Tuesday night amidst lockdown. Two persons also nabbed by Tamulpur Police in this connection.

They were identified as Prem Tamang.and Mainuddin Ali of Darrangamela under Tamulpur PS along Indo-Bhutan border in the district of Baksa. Rem Tamang confessed that he purchased 12 cartons of liquor from a person at Tamulpur and was carrying it to Darrangamela. A car (AS 01-BW-8741) was also seized which was used to carry the cartons of illegal liquor. A case has been registered at Tamulpur police station against Prem and Mainuddin. Investigation is going on by Tamulpur Police.
