Assam Polls 2021: Himanta Biswa Sarma campaigns in Dudhnoi

DUDHNOI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) star campaigner and State Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma campaigned for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance Joint Movement Committee nominee Shyamjit Rabha at the Bongaon Public Ground in Dudhnoi constituency on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the women of the State would get Rs 3,000 instead of Rs 830 under the Orunodoi scheme. Women who had not been included in this scheme will also be included in the scheme this time. He also assured that the government would repay loan of people taken from Bandhan Bank. He added that families who had not been able to get ration cards would also get ration cards this time.

He said that self-help groups would be given loans through banks from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. The minister therefore, urged women in the State not to take money from any micro finance company.
