
GUWAHATI: The schedule for the upcoming election to the 36 Constituencies of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council, 2025 has been officially announced by the Assam State Election Commission (ASEC).
The upcoming elections will be held with a detailed timeline, including nomination filings, scrutiny, voting and declaration of results.
The polling date has been set for April 2, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. As per the commission’s statement, the last date for filing nominations for all 36 constituencies has been fixed on March 15 from 11 AM to 3 PM.
The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on March 17 at 11 AM and the deadline for the withdrawal of candidature has been set for March 19, 2025, by 3 PM.
The list of contesting candidates will be published on March 19, 2025, following the withdrawal period.
The electorate will go to the polls on April 2, 2025 and the timings have been set from 7 AM to 3 PM. In case of a re-poll, it will be held on April 3 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
The counting of votes will start on April 4 at 8 AM and continue until the completion of the process. The declaration of the results has been fixed on April 4.
It is to be noted that a total of 445,586 voters, including 216,181 male voters, 229,394 female voters and 11 others will exercise their democratic franchise in 630 polling stations.
The maximum limit for campaign expenditure has been fixed at Rs. 2.50 lakh for each candidate.
