JAMUGURIHAT: Assam Rifles organized a two-day Career and Skill Workshop for women on March 7 and 8 at the Family Welfare Centre, 30 Assam Rifles, stated a press release. The event aimed to empower women by providing skill-based training. On the first day, a total of 40 women from the villages of Labarghari, Sonipam, Chhapori, Buragaon, and Lokra actively participated in the workshop. The second-day session focused on disabled women from the Lokra area, with 23 participants engaging in the programme.
As a part of the initiative, a Goodwill Bazaar was also organized today featuring skill development activities such as candle-making, sublimation printing, general printing, mug printing, and bakery and wall-hanging product making. The event successfully contributed to enhancing the vocational skills of women, promoting self-reliance and economic empowerment in the region. Total participants of the session were 63, added the release.
