Assam Rifles conducts online recruitment of youths from villages of Cachar district

SILCHAR: An online recruitment drive for awareness and identification of youths from villages of Cachar district for training of recruits was carried out by Kadamtala Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs 21 sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) recently. Owing to the COVID pandemic situation, the battalion reached out to 16 students of the district through video conferencing.

The participants were given an overview of the recruitment procedure, physical, medical and educational criterion for entry and documentation process. Special emphasis was laid on motivating NCC trained students for disseminating information to a larger number of youths of their community and college groups. This novel move of Assam Rifles came in for high applause by the youths and expressed their gratitude for giving them an insight into the process of recruitment.
