Assam Rifles holds interactive session with VDP and GB in Silchar

SILCHAR: Kadamtala Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs 21 sector of Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organized an interactive session with village defence party members and Gaon Burahs at Namdailong Baptist Church, under Lakhipur sub division of Cachar recently. During the interaction, the present security scenario in the area, the hot spot of extremist activities, came up for discussion. The inhabitants were made aware of it and their cooperation was sought to rein in them.

They were made aware of upcoming free medical camps. They were also educated about the precautionary measures against covid 19 and apprised of planned development projects by Assam Rifles. VDPs and GBs of different hamlets joined the interactive session and took pledge to assist Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and tranquillity in the area.
