BOKO: A tragic road accident in the Agochia neighbourhood of Boko killed a woman and critically injured another individual on December 28. Krishna Rabha was instantly killed in the incident when a passenger bus struck a scooter head-on.

After suffering serious injuries, Sunita Rabha, the scooter's second rider, was taken to the Boko Primary Health Centre for emergency care. Both of the injured and the deceased lived in Boko's Khatlapara.

According to preliminary reports, the deadly collision was caused by the bus travelling in the wrong direction. The bus bears the registration number AS18 C 9913. After the impact, the bus collided with an electric pole. According to the results of the investigation, the bus driver was negligent.

On Friday night, a road accident at Lampara village, close to Hahim, under the jurisdiction of the Boko Police Station, injured around twenty members of the Garo community. Fifteen of the twenty men and women were sent right away to the GMCH for improved care.

Locals claim that about twenty individuals, including men and women, travelled from Santipur village in the Chaygaon Constituency to Bakrapara village, which is close to Hahim, to attend a funeral service.

Following the program, the group drove a Tata Ace Gold luggage carrier (AS 01 QC 3106) back to their village; however, because they were driving too fast, the vehicle lost control, rolled over, and headed into the paddyfield by the side of the road in Lampara village.
