Assam: Road Safety Month observed with various programmes in Dhubri

DHUBRI: A painting competition on road safety was organized in the office premises of Dhubri District Transport for students today.

In the art competition, the top 12 students were awarded prizes. The program was attended by the Joint Transport Commissioner who distributed the prizes among the winners.

Every year the month of January is observed as Road Safety Month and this year too, Dhubri District Transport Officer Maheswar Das organized a series of programs from January 1 to raise awareness on road safety in various places across the district. He appealed to the people to be cautious and follow traffic rules to prevent road accidents and take utmost care while driving or riding.
